Touch > Camera (#74) POS Key

 

Description

 

Used to connect to a FOSCAM camera system in Touchl and view a video stream.

  1. If required, restricting access to this POS Key can be managed by Clerk Security.

 

Pre-Requisites

 

  1. Ensure the Function Camera POS Key is added to the appropriate Layout using the Keyboard Designer.
  2. Ensure the Function Camera POS Key is configured to connect with the FOSCAM camera software. For more information ...

 

Operation

 

  1. Select the Camera POS Key to open the camera window.

 

The camera window can be dragged around the Touch screen.


Double click the Camera image to make it full screen. Double click it again to reduce it to its default size.


  • Directional buttons - Use the up/down, left/right and centre buttons to adjust the camera view.
  • Presets - Buttons 1-6 will show up to 6 preset camera positions as configured in the cameras software.
  • Capture - Select to save the current image to the Touch POS device's temp folder on the Back Office PC, once connection is established.
  • Close - Select to exit.

  • IP/URL - Displays/Enter the IP Address or URL used to connect to the Camera.
  • Username & Password - Displays/Enter the username and password configured in the Camera software. This will determine the camera controls you have access to in Touch.
  • Show time stamp in video stream - Select to ensure the date and time are displayed on the camera window.
