Touch > Change Seat Number (#57) POS Key

Description

Used to allocate a Seat Number to the selected item in the sales grid, or to change the current Seat Number allocation of the selected item in the sales grid.

To Be Considered

1. If required, restricting access to this POS Key can be managed by Clerk Security.
2. Note : Names assigned to a Seat (as a result of using the Prompt for Names option) will not be moved with a change in Seat Number.

Pre-Requisites

1. Ensure the Function Change Seat Number POS Key is added to the appropriate Layout using the Keyboard Designer.

Operation

1. Add/Change Seat Numbers by entering the Seat Number manually

1. In the SwiftPOS Back Office ensure the Don't Prompt for Seat Number set against the Change Seat Number POS Key is not selected.
2. Enter the number of a held/saved Table and select the Table# POS Key. The Table's order will appear in the sales grid.
3. Select an Item and select the Change Seat Number POS Key.
4. Enter a Seat Number in the Enter seat number prompt displayed and select Enter. The Seat Number entered will be displayed opposite the selected item.
5. Repeat to ensure all Seat Number changes are completed.
6. Select the Table# POS Key to save changes to the selected Table.

2. Add/Change Seat Numbers by selecting the appropriate Fixed Seat Number POS Key
    
1. In the SwiftPOS Back Office ensure the Don't Prompt for Seat Number set against the Change Seat Number POS Key is selected.
2. In the SwiftPOS Back Office ensure the Seat Number POS Keys each have a Fixed Seat Numbers assigned.
3. Enter the number of a held/saved Table and select the Table# POS Key. The Table's order will appear in the sales grid.
4. Select an Item and select the Change Seat Number POS Key.
5. Select the appropriate Seat Number POS Key to assign it to the selected item in the sales grid. The Seat Number entered will be displayed opposite the selected item.
6. Repeat to ensure all Seat Number changes are completed.
7. Select the Table# POS Key to save changes to the selected Table.

• Don't Prompt for Seat Number - Select to ensure that the prompt for the entry of a Seat Number is not displayed. Instead select the Seat Number POS Key assigned to the required Seat. Note : This feature requires Seat Number POS Keys to be assigned to Fixed Seat Numbers in order for it to work correctly.
