Database Reset & Upgrade

 

SwiftPOS Back Office > Administration > SQL Tools > Database Maintenance > Database Reset & Upgrade

 

Description

 

This menu item is used to reset and upgrade the Back Office and Table Tracking Databases.

 

To Be Considered

 

  1. Effectively, the reset and upgrade reapplies any database changes since that last major version. This will mean that any database scripts (.SSS files) executed since the last major version will be overwritten.
  2. A reset and upgrade should only be done when instructed to do so by your reseller or SwiftPOS support staff.

 


Database Upgrade

 

 

  • Upgrade - Select to initiate the Upgrade process, unless it is configured to automatically start.
  • Close - Select to exit.

 


Operation

 

  1. SwiftPOS Back Office > Administration > SQL Tools > Database Maintenance > Database Reset & Upgrade select SwiftPOS Back Office. The following pop up screen is displayed:
     


  1. Select Yes. The Database Upgrade screen is displayed and the upgrade is invoked. Once the upgrade is completed, select Close to exit.
  2. The database should now be reset and upgraded.
  3. Note : Run the General Check to make sure that there is no invalid data.
