Description
The following touch keyboards / keypads are used throughout SwiftPOS Touch to cater for the entering of alpha-numeric and numeric values.
Alpha-numeric Keyboard
This keyboard is used by multiple features in SwiftPOS Touch, and is invoked whenever the entry of an alpha-numeric value is required.
- Title - Displays a title appropriate to the value being prompted for entry.
- Value Entered - Displays the value entered by selecting the alpha-numeric keys.
- Esc - Select to cancel and exit the keyboard. Note : If entry is mandatory, then the Esc button will not function as expected.
- Done - Select to save the value entered and exit the keyboard.
- Clear - Select to the remove the current displayed value.
Note : The currency symbol displayed above the number 4 button, defaults to the Windows regional setting.
Keyboard Numeric Keypad
This numeric keypad appears on the SwiftPOS Touch Keyboard and is used to facilitate the entry of numeric values for sales related activities..
- C - Select to clear the Value Entered.
- X - Select to delete the last digit selected.
- Ok - Select to exit without saving.
Note : To enter a negative value select the decimal point (.) for 3 seconds and then release. A minus sign will appear in the sales grid.
Pop-up Numeric Keypads
This keypad is used by multiple features in SwiftPOS Touch, and is invoked whenever the entry of a numeric value is required.
- Title - Displays a title appropriate to the value being prompted for entry.
- Value Entered - Displays the value entered by selecting the numeric keys. To enter a negative value click here.
- Clear - Select to clear the Value Entered.
- Enter - Select to exit and save the Value Entered.
- Cancel - Select to exit without saving.
Note : To enter a negative value do either one of the following:
- Double click the decimal point (.) and it will change to a minus sign. Click again to select it.
- Select the decimal point (.) for 3 seconds and then release. A minus sign will appear in the sales grid.
