Kiosk Cart Operation

 

Touch > Kiosk Cart (#622) POS Key

 

Description

 

Used to enable the previewing of the current Kiosk Order when Sales Grid is hidden from view when using Kiosk 1 or 2 style Keyboards.

 

To Be Considered

 

  1. If required, restricting access to this POS Key can be managed by Clerk Security.
  2. Also, the Your Order prompt can be further customised via the Kiosk Cart Sales settings.

 

Operation

 

  1. To View the current order at a Order Kiosk


    1. Ensure the Function Kiosk Cart POS Key is added to the appropriate Layout using the Keyboard Designer with the Print All Items option selected.
    2. Send a Full Update to the SwiftPOS Touch terminal.
    3. At the SwiftPOS Touch Order Kiosk, select items to add to an order.
    4. Select the Kiosk Cart POS Key to open the Your Order popup screen.
       

With Payment Layout selected

With No Payment Layout selected

 

    1. Select  X  opposite an item to delete/clear the item from the order. Note : Instructional Items cannot be deleted/cleared. To do this the parent item will need to be deleted/cleared and added again without the instructional item (that intended to be deleted/cleared).
    2. Select Continue to continue with placing the order.
    3. Select Pay Now to go straight to the selected payment Layout. Note : This button will only be visible if a Payment Layout has been selected.

 

Kiosk Cart POS Key Settings

 

 

This screen is accessed from here.

 

  • Select from either one of the following:
     
    • Open Kiosk Transaction View - Select to ensure a Your Order popup view of the current Order is displayed.
       

 

    • Change Layout - Select to ensure the selected Payment Layout is displayed.

 

  • Show Item Count - Select the ensure the current number of items ordered displays at the top of the Kiosk Transaction View popup.
  • Show Subtotal - Select the ensure the current Subtotal value of the order displays at the top of the Kiosk Transaction View popup.
  • Payment Layout - Select from the drop down list of Layouts the appropriate Layout to be displayed when the Kiosk Cart POS Key is selected. When the No Payment Layout option is selected, then only a Close button will be visible on the Kiosk Cart screen.

 

Note : The show options above only function in conjunction with Kiosk 2 type keyboards and the Sales Grid being hidden (that is the Sales Grid option must NOT be selected).

 

Example of the Kiosk Transaction View popup with Show Item Count and Show Subtotal options above selected:

 

 

This example displays the current order Item Count of 9 and Subtotal of $31.50
