Touch > Label Mode (#561) POS Key

Description

This feature is used to print Product Labels.  When selected, this POS Key changes the background colour of the sales grid to green, to alert Clerks/Staff that they are in Label printing mode.

Pre-Requisites

1. Ensure the Function Label Mode POS Key is added to the appropriate Layout using the Keyboard Designer.
2. Ensure a Label Printer has been configured as a Peripheral at the SwiftPOS Touch terminal.

Operation

1. At the SwiftPOS Touch terminal select the Label Mode POS Key to turn Label Mode on.
2. The sales grid will turn green.
3. Select the Product for which a Label is required to be printed. A Product information screen similar to the one below should display
    

4. Select the Print Label button.
5. The Product Label should now print at the designated Printer.
6. Select the Label Mode POS Key to turn Label Mode off.

• Label - Select from the drop down list either:
   
• The POS Label option (this option does require a Label Printer to be configured and a Label designed at the SwiftPOS Touch terminal), OR
• One of the Product Labels listed that have been created and designed using the Product Label Designer.
   
• Scale Options - Select one of the following:
• Always Read Scale (Default) - Select to ensure the weight of the Product is always retrieved regardless of whether it is a weighted  Product or not.
• Scale Products Only - Select to ensure the weight of the Product is retrieved ONLY when it is a weighted Product.
• Do Not Read Scale - Select to ensure the weight of the Product is NOT retrieved.
