RS232 Settings

 

 

The settings above are standard for most out of the box scanners (including OPOS Scanners).

 

Detect USB Device

 

 

Scan/swipe a card so that the SwiftPOS Touch terminal will detect the handle of that device. Use the Set Card Masks button to assign a specific function to the USB device. If the device is not detected, click on USB Input Device and try again.

 

Note : It is recommended that that SwiftPOS Touch terminal does NOT have Sleep Mode enabled, to avoid the USB device not being recognised (detected) when the terminal is reawakened. Also, secure the USB device's cable, to ensure it remains powered and connected at all times. Any failure may require the device to be detected again to ensure it is recognised by the SwiftPOS Touch terminal.
