Information Bar
- Software Version - Displays the current version of the SwiftPOS Touch and the date is was released. as well as the current Keyboard displayed.
- Status Info - Displays the status for the following:

Toolbar
- Search button - Select to open the search Products screen to search Products to sell. Once selected the item will appear in the sales grid. Alternatively, a Filtered Search POS Key can be added to the Keyboard and used to do Product searches.
- Clerk button - Displays the Clerk/Staff Member currently logged in. Select to log in. This button will only be visible if either the Manual Log In/Out or Fast Clerks setting is selected. For more information ...
- Languages button - Select from the drop down list of languages an alternate language. This button will only be visible if the No Clerk log in required and the Support Multiple Languages options are selected. For more information ...
- Clock In Button - Select to open the Clock In Out screen to enable Clerks/Staff to Clock In/Out at the SwiftPOS Touch terminal. This button will only be visible if the Show Clerk Clock In/Out Panel setting is selected. For more information ...
- No Orders/Pending Orders button - Select when Orders Pending is displayed, and is highlighted, to open the Phone / Web Orders screen to select from the list of pending orders the order required.
- Updates button - Select to display the following drop down:
Access to this button can be managed here. |
- Receipt button - Select to toggle the Receipt On / Off switch to control the printing of Receipts. Access to this button can be managed here. Functions in the same way as the Receipt On/Off (#14) POS Key.
- Online/Offline button - Displays/changes the current status of the connection to the SwiftPOS Connect Host. Select from the drop down list one of the following:
- Connect to SwiftPOS Connect Host - Select to connect. If a Hardware Lock has been configured and set, the user will be prompted for the entry of a Hardware Access Code via the following prompt:

- Disconnect from the SwiftPOS Connect Host - Select to disconnect.
- Tools Menu button - Select to configure SwiftPOS Touch settings via the Tools Menu (see below). Note : The Tools Menu cannot be accessed while a sale is in progress.
Products
This screen is accessed from here.
This screen is used to search for Products to add to a sale. The number of Products returned by a search is by default 50. However, this can be changed and set here.
- Search - Enter the full/partial text of a Product's Description to search for Products that have the text entered in their Description. For example, to search for all the Products with word Coke in their description, enter the text Coke and select enter.
Alternatively, use can be made of a wildcard character. The wildcard for searching is the % symbol. For example, to search for 24 and pk in the Description of a Product, enter the text 24%pk and select enter. This will return all Products with 24 and pk in their Description.

Description
The Tools Menu provides access to a number of Tools Menus to assist in the configuring of SwiftPOS Touch terminals.
Note : Please ensure the database has been backed up before changing settings using any of the menus below.
The Touch Tools menus are accessed from the Tools button above. Then click the Left/Right arrow buttons as required to access the following menus:
