Description

 

This menu item is used to build a list of Post/Zip Codes that can then be used at the SwiftPOS Touch terminal to track sales and then provide Marketing Analysis abilities.

 

To Be Considered

 

  1. SwiftPOS Back Office comes preloaded with Australian Post/Zip Codes by State/Region.
  2. To track sales to tourists/visitors, it is recommended to create dummy Post/Zip Codes for each Marketing Region. For example for regions the following may apply :

 

    1. Europe
    2. Asia
    3. North America

 

OR create a more detailed list that is broken down by country.

 

  1. Note : Make sure Services are restarted after configuring Post/Zip Codes and Marketing Regions.

 

Pre-Requisites

 

  1. In Global Preferences ensure the Post Code PLU is selected. This used to capture the Post/Zip Code data at the SwiftPOS Touch terminal. A System PLU is provided specifically for this. Namely PLU # 19800 (POST CODE).

 

Post/Zip Codes - Post/Zip Codes

 

 

This tab is accessed from here. This tab used to configure Post/Zip Codes and map them to States and Marketing Regions. This screen comes preloaded with a list of all Australian Post Codes by Marketing Region. The list can be added/edited as required.

 

When making sales at the SwiftPOS Touch terminal and making use of the Post Code String PLU, these sales can be tracked using the Region Sales Detail and Summary Custom Reports.

 

Post/Zip Codes - Marketing

 

 

This tab is accessed from here. This screen is used to configure Marketing Regions. Once configured these can then be allocated Post/Zip Codes using the Marketing Region Post/Zip Codes tab below.

 

Grid
 

  • Marketing Region - Displays/Enter the description for the Marketing region. The description entered here will be used in Reporting.

 

Note : The Marketing regions configured here will facilitate the cross referencing of sales data in reports. See Related Topics.

This tab is accessed from here. This tab is used to map Marketing Regions to Post/Zip Codes.

 

Grid

 

  • Marketing Region - Displays/Select Marketing Region.
  • Post/Zip Code - Displays/Select the Post/Zip Code associated with the Marketing Region entered.
