Touch > Print Receipt / Table Bill (#11) POS Key

This feature is used to reprint the last Receipt, print a Table/Guest Bill or print a Quote for items currently in the sales grid. It can also be used to print a Table/Guest Bill by seat#. For more information ...

 

To Be Considered

 

  1. If required, restricting access to this POS Key can be managed by Clerk Security.
  2. When printing a Receipt, an attempt will be made to respect the Window’s region of the Touch terminal. The Clerk’s/Staff Member’s Language setting will be ignored.
    • If Language files ARE INSTALLED and:
      • The Window’s region matches the installed language file, then  it’ll print the Transaction’s receipt in the language as per the Window’s region setting of the Touch terminal.
    • If Language files are NOT INSTALLED:
      • The Window’s region is set to something other than an English language, then  it’ll print the Transaction’s receipt in English, as it does not have the language file available for translation.

 

Pre-Requisites

 

  1. Ensure the Function Print Receipt / Table Bill POS Key is added to the appropriate Layout using the Keyboard Designer.

 

Operation

 

  1. To Reprint the last Receipt

 

  1. At the SwiftPOS Touch terminal, ensure there is no sale currently in progress (this can happen with Bistro Tables if kept open).
  2. Select the Print Receipt / Table Bill POS Key.
  3. The last Receipt printed will reprint with the text COPY indicating it is a reprint.
     


  1. To Print a Table/Guest Bill

 

  1. At the SwiftPOS Touch terminal, ensure there is no sale currently in progress.
  2. Recall the Table for which a Bill is to be printed.
  3. The items currently associated with the Table will be displayed in the sales grid
  4. Select the Print Receipt POS Key.
  5. The Table/Guest Bill will be printed with the text GUEST BILL.
     


  1. To Print a Quote of the items in the current Sale

 

  1. At the SwiftPOS Touch terminal, make a sale.
  2. Before finalising the sale, select the Print Receipt POS Key.
  3. A Quote of what is currently in the sales grid will be printed with the text QUOTE.
     


Print Receipt POS Key Settings

  • Display Instruction Items With Zero Value - Select to ensure Instructions with a value of zero are printed. By default instructions with a value of $0.00 will not be printed on a Receipt. This is to ensure instructions like Well Done or No Salt are printed on the Receipt.
  • Override Consolidation For Receipt and Guest Bill - Select from the drop down list either one of the following:

    • Print Groups
    • Seats - Select to print the Table/Guest Bill Seat #. Useful for large groups that need to work out what each person owes. Optionally an additional POS Key can be added and configured with the caption Print Bill by Seat# to do just that.
    • Master Groups
    • Price Levels


  • Print Finalised Only - Select to restrict Clerks/Staff from printing Quotes.
  • OK - Select to save any changes and exit.
  • Cancel - Select to exit without saving.
