Touch > Tools > Basic Tools > Terminal Settings > Peripheral List > RF Reader > Edit

 

Description

 

Used to configure RFID Reader settings.

 

To Be Considered

 

  1. Other RFID Reader options are designed for Clerks/Staff and Members. This feature however, does not do database lookups.

 


Pre-Requisites

 

  1. If no RFID Reader exists in the list of Peripherals, then it will need to be added.

 


Keyboard Input Device Settings

 

 

This screen is accessed from here.

 

  • Disabled - Select to ensure the peripheral is disabled.
     
  • RS232 RF Reader - Select to enable the Settings button, to open the RS232 Settings screen and configure, as well as enable the selection of one of the following:
     
  • Generic - This option will convert Hex RFID Readers to decimal output.
  • Quest - Custom RFID Readers manufactured by QUEST. Hex output.
  • Axeze - USB Readers that create a virtual com port. They would only be used if you had to have compatibility with QUEST Readers above in a mixed POS installation.
  • SwiftPOS - RFID Readers supplied by SwiftPOS. 10 Digit decimal output.

 

  • Start Test - Select to test.


  • USB Input Device - Select to enable the Detect USB Device button and detect.
  • Ethernet IO Digital - Select to enable the Settings button, to open the Ethernet I/O Devices screen and configure.

  • Set Card Mask - Select to open the Card Masks screen and configure the Card Mask required. Leave this blank for variable length cards otherwise use the combination of Dash's and X's to mask the data on the card.
