Search Filters

Description

Search filters are used to limit the amount of data displayed in various SwiftPOS Back Office screens. These filters are used throughout SwiftPOS Back Office.

Search Filters

The following types of Search Filters are used:

  1. Check Boxes - These allow those data records to be returned that comply with the check box selected. For example, checking the Include Inactive filter check box in the Product Records screen will also return inactive Products.
  2. Date Range From/To - Select the date range. This can either be selected from the drop down list of Periods or entered manually using the From/To date fields or by selecting a date using the popup calendar associated buttons.
  3. Drop Down Lists - These allow the selection from a drop down list, to ensure that only those data records are returned that have the same value selected appearing in their corresponding field. For example, selecting the 'Reciped Items' entry from the Type drop down list in the Product Records screen will return all those Product that are 'Reciped Items'.
  4. Full/Partial Numbers - These allow the entry of full/partial number values, to ensure that only those data records are returned that have the same full/partial number appearing in their corresponding field. For example, entering a value of '10018' in the filter field Code of the Product Records screen will return all those Product that has a Product Code of '10018'.
  5. Full/Partial Texts - These allow the entry of full/partial text values, to ensure that only those data records are returned that have the same full/partial text appearing in their corresponding field. For example, entering a value of 'beer' in the filter field Description of the Product Records screen will return all those Products that have the text 'beer' somewhere in their Description.
  6. Popup Calendars - When the associated button is selected a pop calendar is displayed, enabling the selection of a date.
  7. Search Screens - When the associated button is selected a Search screen will be displayed, enabling the selection of one of the listed values to ensure that only those data records are returned that have the same value selected appearing in their corresponding field. For example, selecting the Supplier filter button in the Product Records screen will return all those Product that are supplied by the selected Supplier.
  8. Top # Filter - This filter restricts the number of data records returned to the number entered here. This number can be changed. The default number displayed here is set in the Local Configuration screen.
