Seat Number POS Key Settings

This screen is accessed from here.

  • Prompt for Names - Select to enforce the entry of the Customer/Member's name when assigning a Seat Number to an ordered item. This is used in Bistro service areas where a name can be entered against each ordered item. That way, when the order is taken to the table, the Customer/Member's name can be used to identify Customer/Member rather than the seat number. Large groups of people do not always remain in the seat they were sitting in when they placed their order. A popup keyboard will be displayed enabling the entry of the name. Note : When using the Change Seat Number POS Key, Names DO NOT get moved with a change in Seat Number.
  • Fixed Seat Number - Select to preset the POS Key to a specific Seat Number. Used to allocate multiple POS Keys to individual Seats. This replaces the need to enter Seat Numbers individually, with just having to select the preset Seat Number POS Key.
  • Search For Seat - Select to open the Seats screen that allows for the searching/selection of seats.
  • Display Seat - Select to display the next Seat #. Used in conjunction with the Auto Step Seat option.
  • Change Seat on Click - Select to change the Seat # that is assigned to the currently selected item in the sales grid. Once selected an Enter Seat Number prompt will be displayed.
