Description
This menu item provides the ability to customise Tender settings at the SwiftPOS Touch terminal.
Tenders Settings
This screen is accessed from here.
- Maximum Over Tender Limit $ - Select to display a numeric keypad to set the maximum limit. Set to zero to specify no limit.
- Rounding - Select from the drop down list below:
- Rounding Direction - Select from the drop down list one of the following Rounding options to be applied when Rounding:
The following table depicts rounding to the nearest $0.05 for each of the different Rounding Directions:

- Display Total / Change Screen - Select to ensure a popup screen at the SwiftPOS Touch terminal is displayed. Once a sale has been finalised, the popup will show the total sale amount and change to be returned to the customer. For example:

- Display warning when Cash Drawer is left open - Select to display and Alarm warning and set a delay in seconds before the activating the Alarm.
- Play draw open alarm sound - Select to sound an alarm when the above warning is activated.
- Record Drawer Open Time - Select to ensure that each time Cash Drawer(s) are opened, the event is recorded. Note : This requires the Create terminal cash off records option to be selected.
- No Other Media with Redemptions - Select to ensure that when Customers/Members are redeeming previously earned rewards, they cannot split payment of the sale across multiple Media. This prevents the occurrence of, for example, redemptions being processed and then insufficient Credit Card funds being encountered to complete the finalisation of the sale.
- No Vouchers issued with Redemption Sale - Select to ensure Vouchers cannot be issued when Customers/Members are redeeming previously earned rewards. Prevents double dipping.
- Don't allow clearing of items to take the sale below $0 - When set, you can not credit Items from a sale to get the total below $0 when a payment has been made to the sale with a Finaliser set to not allow over tender. Note : It is recommended that this option be selected when the Reverse Qty at POS option against Products currently being sold is in use.
- Allow sale below $0.00 with force tender to automatically process - When checked, a sale to a value of below $0.00 will process without prompting for the tendered amount. Used mainly for cash payouts like lottery ticket winnings in News Agencies.
- Print Guest Bill on Finalise to TAB - Select to ensure a Guest Bill is printed whenever the Finalise to Tab POS Key is used.
- Maximum Sale Warning Limit $x - Select to set a maximum sale warning limit. When set and a sale exceeds this limit, the Clerk/Staff Member will be alerted. - Zero means no limit.
- USA Style Tax Description - Enter or Select the keyboard icon to display a Touch keyboard popup to enter an appropriate description.
