Third Party TABs Operation

 

Touch > Close 3rd Party Tab (#32) POS Key

 

Description

 

This function is used to finalise Third Party TABs created via Mobile Phone Apps such as Clipp and OneTab if there is an issue and they don't close correctly in Touch. Generally only used if the Third Party TAB has been closed on the App but there is an issue and it does not close on our system.

 

To Be Considered

 

  1. If required, restricting access to this POS Key can be managed by Clerk Security.
  2. When a Customer/Member opens a TAB from their phone, the TAB can be viewed in Swiftpos just like any other TAB.

Pre-Requisites

 

  1. Ensure the Function Close 3rd Party Tab POS Key is added to the appropriate Layout using the Keyboard Designer.
  2. This feature is only applicable at sites/venues that are registered to support Third Party TABs such as Clipp and OneTab.

 

Operation

 

  1. Using the Clipp App on a SmartPhone.

 

  1. Opening the Clipp App, the Customer/Member logs in using the screen below.
     


  1. Select the Venue to start their TAB in.
     


  1. Select Open a Tab to start their TAB which is linked to their credit card.
     


  1. Set a limit for the TAB.
     


  1. Set a secure pin number to ensure someone else cannot start a TAB on their behalf.
     


  1. The TAB number flashes in the blue circle which is shown to the bartender.
     


  1. A summary of the Products ordered is updated live to the Customers mobile phone.
     


  1. If needed, the limit of the TAB can be increased.
     

 

  1. At the end of the Customer's visit to the venue, the TAB can be finalised with the option to leave a tip. Select Pay Now.
     


  1. The Customer/Member finalises and closes the TAB from their Mobile Phone.
     


  1. The media is applied to the TAB sale and the Customer/Member can leave the Venue.
     


  1. Viewing Clipp TABs created by Customers in Touch


    1. When a Customer/Member creates a TAB using their Clipp App on their SmartPhone, these can be viewed in Touch by following the instructions here.


  1. Finalising a Clipp TAB in Touch

 

When a Customer/Member forgets to finalise a TAB using their SmartPhone, this can also be achieved in Touch, as follows.

  1. in Touch, select the Close 3rd Party Tab POS Key.
  2. This will open the TABs screen.
  3. Select the TAB to be finalised, and finalise.
