Value Added Services (VAS) Related POS Keys

 

SwiftPOS Touch > VAS Product (#160), Reprint VAS Vouchers (#161), Sell VAS (# 75) and VAS Money Transfer (#162) POS Keys

 

Description

 

Please make sure product links have been done in SwiftPOS Back Office before attempting to sell Value Added Services from Touch. Instructions found here

 

Pre-Requisites

 

  1. Ensure the Function VAS Product, Reprint VAS Vouchers, Sell VAS and VAS Money TransferPOS Keys are added to the appropriate Layout using the Keyboard Designer.If required, restricting access to these POS Key can be managed by Clerk Security.
  2. Graphical Printer support only. It does not work with non-graphical printers because the VAS print out does not print.

 

VAS Product POS Key Settings

 

 

This screen is accessed from here.

 

  • VAS System - Displays/Select from the drop down list one of the Types currently supported.
  • Item Type - Displays/Select from the drop down list one of the Item Types listed. Note : This list is only enabled when the Epay VAS System is selected.
  • Product Code - Displays/Enter the VAS Product Code configured here.
  • Reader Type - Displays/Select from the drop down list the appropriate Reader Type.

Sell VAS POS Key Settings

 

 

This screen is accessed from here. Note : This POS Key is pcTouch specific and is NOT available for use in conjunction with ePay VAS Products.

 

  • Start At - Select from the drop down list either one of the following:

 

    • Normal - Select to allow the Clerk/Staff Member to navigate and search for or scan a Product. This setting is generally recommended.
    • Item Direct - Select to enable the entry of the VAS APN to ensure the POS Key is specific to an individual VAS Product.

 

VAS Money Transfer Settings

  • VAS System - Select from the drop down list the following:

 

    • Cullinan (MoneyGram) - Select to ensure the POS Key is linked to the VAS Cullinan Type Interface. Note : This the interface will need to be configured to ensure that when the POS key is selected, the appropriate MoneyGram screens are displayed to facilitate money transfers/refunds.
