Description
This menu item is used to reset the Back Office database and upgrade it to the latest version.
To Be Considered
- Effectively, the reset and upgrade reapplies any database changes since that last major version. This will mean that any database scripts (.SSS files) executed since the last major version will be overwritten.
- A reset and upgrade should only be done when instructed to do so by your reseller or Swiftpos support staff.
Database Upgrade
- Upgrade - Select to initiate the Upgrade process, unless it is configured to automatically start.
- Close - Select to exit.
Operation
- In Back Office > Administration > SQL Tools > Database Maintenance > Database Reset & Upgrade select Back Office. The following pop up screen is displayed:

- Select Yes to display the Database Upgrade screen and run the upgrade. Once the upgrade is completed, select Close to exit.
- The database should now be reset and upgraded.
- Note : Run the General Check to make sure that there is no invalid data.
