The following is a setup example of a Mix n Match - Volume Discount rule for a 1 month escalating promotional offer.
The Scenario
When customers buy 1 x 700ml bottle of Jim Beam they get it for $40, when they buy 2 they get it for $76 and when they buy 3 they get it for $90.
The Setup Required
- Create a Family and assign the Products that the promotion is to be applied to. In this case the 700ml Jim Beam.
- Create Volume Discount rules for each of the 3 offers.

- Ensure the rules are correctly ordered in the Mix n Match screen. That is in descending order of X Qty.
Notes
- If the required the promotion can be expanded to include other Products. For example, Buy 1 x 700ml Jim Beam and 2 x 700ml Bundy Rum for $90. To do this merely assign the other Products required to the Family created in 1 above.
Samples of Receipts
- For the purchase of 1 x 700ml Jim Beam.
- For the purchase of 2 x 700ml Jim Beam.
- For the purchase of 1 x 700ml Jim Beam and 2 x 700ml Bundaberg Rum.
