The following is a setup example of a Mix n Match - Volume Discount rule for a 1 month promotional offer to members only.

The Scenario

When members buy 2 or more wines in the Wine Promo Family they will receive a 20% discount on all further Products purchased in the Wine Promo Family.

The Setup Required

Notes

1. For this offer to apply to all customers uncheck the Member Only option under Rule Options.
2. For the offer to apply to the same Product only, check the Same Item Only option. This means the discount will only apply when two or more of the same Product are purchased.
3. The 'Additional items follow rule' under Volume Discount Properties will when :
   
   
• Checked ensures that the discount is applied to further items sold in excess of the X Qty specified under Rule Properties.
• Unchecked ensure the discount will only apply, every time the number of items sold is equivalent to any multiple of the X Qty. That is in this case the discount will only be applied whenever 2 or 4 or 6 or 8 ... number of items are sold. If 3 or 5 or 7 or 9... items are sold then the discount will not be applied to the 3rd or 5th or 7th or 9th... item respectively and so on.
