Touch > Tools > Then repeatedly select the right arrow until the Clerk Tools menu is located.
Description
This menu allows for the following Clerk/Staff Member related functions to be performed at a SwiftPOS Touch Terminal.
Access
This menu is accessed via the Clerk Tools menu at the SwiftPOS Touch Terminal via the Touch > Tools button and then repeatedly selecting the right arrow until the Clerk Tools menu is located.
Add Clerk
This menu option is used to add a new Clerk/Staff Member at the SwiftPOS Touch terminal.
To add a new Clerk/Staff Member, do as follows:
- From the Clerk Tools menu select the Add Clerk menu option.
- Enter the RFID/Card# to be assigned to the new Clerk/Staff Member.
- Enter a PIN. A maximum of 9 numeric characters can be entered.
- Enter the Clerk's/Staff Member's Name.
- Enter the Clerk's/Staff Member's Contact # in the Phone number field.
- Select from the drop down list the Group to which the Clerk/Staff Member is to be assigned.
- Select OK.
- A notification confirming the change will be displayed.
- Select OK.
- At the Add another clerk prompt, select YES to add another, OR
- Select NO to exit.
- NOTE : The Clerk/Staff Member is immediately added to the Back Office.
Assign New ID
This menu option is used to change the RFID/Card# of a Clerk/Staff Member at the SwiftPOS Touch terminal.
To assign/change the RFID/Card# of a Clerk/Staff Member, do as follows:
- From the Clerk Tools menu select the Assign New ID menu option.
- Enter the new RFID/Card# to be assigned, into the New Clerk ID field.
- Select from the Clerks search screen the Clerk/Staff Member to which the new RFID/Card# will be assigned.
- Select OK.
- A notification confirming the change will be displayed.
- Select OK.
- Select Cancel to exit.
- NOTE : The RFID/Card# is immediately updated against the nominated Clerk in Back Office.
Assign New PIN
This menu option is used to assign a new PIN to the Clerk/Staff Member currently logged in at the SwiftPOS Touch terminal.
To assign a new PIN, do as follows:
- From the Clerk Tools menu select the Assign New PIN menu option.
- Enter the Clerk's/Staff Member's current PIN.
- Enter a new PIN. A maximum of 9 numeric characters can be entered.
- Enter the same new PIN again.
- A notification confirming the change will be displayed.
- Select OK.
- NOTE : The Clerk's/Staff Member's PIN is immediately updated to the Back Office.
Enroll Finger Print
This menu option is used to enrol a Finger Print and assign it to a Clerk/Staff Member at the SwiftPOS Touch terminal.
To enrol/assign a Finger Print, do as follows:
- From the Clerk Tools menu select the Enroll Finger Print menu option.
- The following prompt may be displayed:
This prompt will be displayed as a result of one of the following:
Ensure one is available to the SwiftPOS Touch Terminal and enabled. |
- When the Assign to prompt is displayed, select the Enter the Clerk/Staff Member to which the digital FingerPrints enrolled, are to be assigned.
- Select OK.
- NOTE : The Clerk's/Staff Member's Finger Print is immediately updated to the Back Office.
