Troubleshooting Raffle Tickets

Note : Raffle tickets are reindexed and old data is cleared (30 days of closed raffles) every time the master table tracking terminal is started/re-started.

How to manage raffle tickets for speed and data size:

  • Make sure that the master table tracking terminal is restarted every night to ensure that a reindex and a clear of data older than 30 days gets completed automatically on start up.
  • Do not exceed 400,000 raffle numbers in a single day of selling raffle tickets. Numbers above this range can become slow and will require a manual reindex of the table.
  • Keep the master table tracking database on a local machine (recommended for all table tracking databases)

My Raffle tickets are taking a long time to add to the sale at the POS?

  • Is the master table tracking terminal being restarted every night?
  • Are you selling numbers in excess of 400,000 across the raffle tickets currently selling?
  • Is your table tracking database local?
  • Manually reindex the table tracking database. This is found at the POS (Tools Menu>Terminal Settings>Table Tracking>Table Tracking Database Tools>Re-Index Database).

The Raffle ticket numbers are printing out in random order with some numbers in bold?

  • Are you using any kind of discount, mix and match, promotions or surcharge on the sale of the raffle tickets? This way of selling raffle tickets is not supported. (Refer to top of page)

The raffle ticket I have setup does not show when I select "New" from the POS?

  • Check the date/time range on the raffle ticket setup in the SwiftPOS Back Office.
  • Check that the product you assigned to the raffle ticket is active in the Location you are attempting to sell the raffles in.

When I try to sell raffle tickets, it displays "Maximum number of tickets has been exceeded"?

  • You are trying to sell more raffle tickets than have been allocated under "Ticket Limit"
