Description
The Inventory Transfers As feature is designed to allow for the easy transfer of Inventory/Stock from one Product to another. This feature is generally used when Products are supplied in varying sizes. As an example the following scenario may help to explain this feature better:
Vodka can be purchased from a Supplier in either a 700ml or 1L bottle, depending on which one is available at the time the order is placed. In the bar however, the recipe for the Vodka Nip (30ml) is setup to be sourced from one of these bottle sizes, in this case the 1L bottle. If in the bar, the stocks of this size bottle run out and only 700ml bottles are available in the Bottle Shop, then a stock Transfer is required from the bar to the Bottle Shop, and use of the Transfer As feature will be necessary to ensure that the stock levels remain accurate and all stock is accounted for. A Transfer is created just like a normal stock Transfer with the addition of specifying which Product to transfer the stock to (using the Transfer As feature), as shown in the screenshot below. Once the To Product has been selected, the quantity will automatically be calculated, based on the sizes of both Products.

To create a Transfer As follow the instructions below:
- Once a stock Transfer has been created using either the Transfers or Batch Transfers screen and the quantity to transfer has been entered, select the Transfer As button, which will display the Stock Transfer As screen with the From Product details already populated.
- Select the To Product, to which the stock will be transferred as. Upon selecting a Product the To Quantity should be automatically calculated.
- Select OK to save the Transfer As.
