The following is a setup example of a Voucher and Discount setup.
The Scenario
When customers buy any main meal they receive a Voucher that entitles them to either a Free Soft Drink or 50% off any Dessert.
The Setup Required
- Create a Voucher Layout for the Voucher that is to be issued to the Customer.

Note : If the Voucher has a Barcode, make sure a Barcode scanner has been setup at the SwiftPOS Touch terminal to enable the scanning of the Voucher on redemption. |
- If required create a Family and assign all regular sized Soft Drinks to it.
- If required create a Family and assign all Desserts to it.
- Create a Discount for the Free Soft Drinks.

- Create a Discount for the 50% Off Desserts.
|
|
- Create Voucher Parameters to control the issuing and redemption of the above Voucher.

|
- Assign the Voucher Action created above as an action to the Voucher.

Operation
- Sell a Mains at the SwiftPOS Touch terminal.
- The Voucher will print at the Voucher Printer.
- Note : If both a Soft Drink and a Dessert are included in the same sale the discount will only be applied to the Soft Drink, given it is the first Discount listed in the Assigned Actions tab above.
