Description

 

This feature is used to configure the Actions to be taken when a Voucher is redeemed.

 

To Be Considered

 

  1. When making use of Multi Use Vouchers, the Action to be taken when a Voucher is redeemed, can be changed at any time as long as a Full Update is sent to the SwiftPOS Touch terminal.

Search Filters

 

  • The filters at the top of the screen can be used to limit the number of rows displayed in the grid. The filters include the following types:


 

Grid

 

The grid displays the: ID, Name, Type and Last Modified. Note : To edit an entry in the grid, double click a row. Rows displayed in the grid can be sorted by toggle selecting the column headings.

 

Footer

 

  • New - Select to add a new Voucher Action.
  • Copy - Select to copy the selected Voucher Action and create a new one.
  • Edit - Select a edit the selected Voucher Action.
  • Delete - Select to delete the selected Voucher Action.
  • Close - Select to exit.

 


Voucher Action Edit - Voucher Actions

 



  • Action Name - Displays/Enter the name of the Voucher Action.
  • Action Type - Select from the drop down list one of the following available types:


 

  • Award Loyalty Points - Select to award a Customer/Member Loyalty Points when the Voucher is redeemed. When selected the System PLU 19991 ??POINTS is added to the sale and the Award Points value is the number of points awarded.
  • Door Controller - Select to ensure a signal is issued to a Door Controller device to trigger the opening of a door/gate/turnstile/etc. Note : this feature is only available from the Reception terminal.
  • Free Product/s - Choose a Product or a Family of Products that you can use the Voucher for.
  • Once Off Media - Select to ensure the redemption of Talkbox Stored Value vouchers that are also limited to a once only redemption. Note : It is recommended to ensure the Suppress Voucher Return Prompt option is selected when using this option.
  • Price Level Change - Select to trigger a Price Level Change when the Voucher is redeemed.
  • Stored Value - Displays/Enter the preset value of a Stored Value Gift card/Voucher. If set to zero, then the value can be set at the time the Voucher is issued at the SwiftPOS Touch terminal. If using a stored value, no other actions can be applied simultaneously.
  • ThorLink Points - Automatic Voucher in exchange for loyalty points - automatically get rewarded with a Voucher for reaching a specific points milestone. The points value is removed from the member in exchange for the Voucher that more than likely has a limited use period.

Free Product/s

 

Only enabled when a Free Product/s type Voucher is selected.

 

  • Free Type - Select from the drop down list one of the following:

    • Free Family - Select to open the Search Families screen and select the Family of Products that can be given away for free when the Voucher is redeemed. Note : Products in the selected Family will be displayed at the SwiftPOS Touch terminal, in alphabetical order for easy selection. The Background/Font colour and Font size used to display the Products in the selected Family will be as set in the Family screen.
    • Free Product - Select to open the Search Products screen and select a Product that can be given away for free when the Voucher is redeemed. This Product will be added automatically to the sale once the Voucher is scanned at the POS. (free Product only).


  • Free Qty - Enter the number of Products that can be given away for free when the Voucher is redeemed.

 

Price Change

 

Only enabled when a Price Level Change type Voucher is selected.

 

  • Price Level - Select the Price Level to be applied when the Voucher is redeemed. Products will be sold at the Price Level selected.

 

Award Points

 

Only enabled when a Award Loyalty Points type Voucher is selected.

 

  • Award Points - Displays/Enter the number of points to be awarded to a Customer/Member when a Award Loyalty Points type Voucher is redeemed.

 

Stored Value

 

Only enabled when a Stored Value type Voucher is selected.

 

  • Stored Value - Displays/Enter the stored value applicable to the Voucher. This value will be reduced by the value of purchases each time the Voucher is redeemed. The Voucher can be re-printed (from the SwiftPOS Touch terminal) to show the current balance. Generally used with Gift Cards.
  • Auto redeem when added to sale - Select to ensure the balance of a Stored Value Voucher is automatically redeemed when it is added to an Order/Sale that already has Items. If the Voucher has SUFFICIENT funds to cover the value of the Order/Sale, a notification will be displayed with the remaining balance. If the Voucher has INSUFFICIENT funds to cover the value of the Order/Sale, a prompt will be displayed confirming the current value of the Voucher, and that the difference will need to be paid for using an alternative Media. Note : This option also works when multiple Vouchers are added to the sale, however, an appropriate message will be generated for each Voucher added.
  • Family Limitation - Select to open the Search Families screen and optionally select a Family. This will ensure that the Voucher can only be used in conjunction with Products assigned to the selected Family.
  • Restrict Top Ups once balance Used - Select to restrict the topping up of a Stored Value Voucher once the entire balance has been used. Note : This does not restrict Top Ups of the Stored Value Vouchers while they still have a balance.

 

Footer

 

  • New - Use to add a new Voucher Action.
  • Copy - Select copy the current Voucher Action.
  • Save - Select to save the last changes.
  • Undo - Select to undo all the changes since the last save.
  • Close - Select to exit.

 

Note : A common misunderstanding is, If xx Vouchers active ??? issue parameters are reset every time Voucher is printed. E.g. If every Voucher had an issue quantity of 1, you would need to sell 4 Products to get 4 Vouchers.
