Shopper Docket Deal - $1 Coffee Wednesdays

 

The following is a setup example of a Mix n Match - Buy X Get X Rule and a Voucher for a 30 day shopper docket deal.

 

The Scenario

 

When a customer presents the Shopper Docket Deal they will receive any size coffee for $1. The offer is only valid on Wednesdays and within 30 days of the Voucher being issued.

 

The Setup Required

 

  1. Ensure a Barcode scanner has been setup at the SwiftPOS Touch terminal to enable the scanning of the Barcode on redemption of the Shopper Docket Voucher.
  2. Create a Mix n Match - Buy X Get X Rule to ensure the discounting of the coffee to $1.
     

 

Note : Ensure the Voucher Only check box is checked and Maximum Times Triggered in a Sale is set to 1.


  1. Create a Voucher Layout for the Shopper Docket Deal.
     

 

  1. Create Voucher Parameters to control the issuing and redemption of the above Voucher.
     

 

Note : The Issue Type above is set to disabled, as the printing of the Voucher will be triggered manually (see Operation below).


  1. Assign the Mix n Match rule created above as an action to the Voucher.
     


  1. Send a full update to the SwiftPOS Touch terminal(s)

 

Operation

 

  1. The Voucher will need to be issued. This can be done as follows:
     
  1. Click the Issue button at the bottom of the Voucher Edit screen.
     

 

Note : Check the Save Voucher Image checkbox. This will ensure a jpg/png file is created in the folder selected.

 

  1. When the Browse For Folder dialog appears select/make a folder to save the Voucher image in
  2. The Voucher will be issued when the following message appears:
     


  1. The Voucher issued should now be listed in the Voucher Ledger.
  2. A sample of the saved Voucher (jpg/png file) appears below.

 

  1. The issued Voucher can be used multiple times and can be redeemed by anyone who presents it at the checkout.
  2. To redeem the Voucher - The customer purchases a coffee and presents the Voucher. At the SwiftPOS Touch terminal make the sale and scan the Voucher. The Shopper Docket Deal will be applied bringing the sale price to $1.
