Description

 

This menu item is used to configure Alerts in the form of Email/SMS notifications, when certain SwiftPOS Touch terminal events have been triggered. Designed to notify, for example, when excessive use of the No Sale and Cancel Sale POS Keys are detected.

 


Setup

 

  1. This feature requires the Service Monitor to be running.
  2. Ensure the Email and SMS settings are configured as required in Global Preferences. Test these settings to make sure they are working.
  3. For the Member Classification and RSA Events to function correctly, the NetPOS.Net service needs to be running.

 


Alerts

Grid

 

  • Event - Displays the Event selected.
  • Alert - Displays the description entered.
  • Enabled - Displays the enabled status of the Alerts listed.

 

Footer

 

  • New - Select to open the Alert screen to add a new Alert.
  • Edit - Select to edit the selected Alert.
  • Delete - Select to delete the selected Alert.
  • Tools - Select from the drop down list, to either Enable All or Disable All all Alerts listed in the grid.
  • Close - Select to exit.

Setup

 

Event

 

Select from the drop down list the appropriate Event:
 

  • No Sales - Select to ensure an Alert is triggered whenever the criteria set for No Sale Transactions are met.
  • Cancelled Sales - Select to ensure an Alert is triggered whenever the criteria set for Cancelled Sale Transactions are met. The following is an example of email Alert:
     

 

Note : Only predefined Reasons will be included in Alerts. Custom entered Reasons are not included.

 

  • Member Classification - Select to ensure an Alert is triggered whenever any activity (Member Card swipe, Member Sale, etc) is recorded for any Member in the selected Classification. For example, it can be used to alert designated staff when a VIP Member is in the Venue.
  • RSA - Select to ensure an Alert is triggered whenever the criteria set for RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) is exceeded.
  • High Sales - Select to ensure an Alert is triggered whenever either the Qty or Net Value of Sales exceeds or meets the Threshold set in the time period (Every X Minutes) set.

 

Alert Trigger

 

  1. Set the Number of times the selected Event must occur before the Alert is triggered.
  2. Set the Time Period in Hours, within which the Number of occurrences (set above) must occur before the Alert is triggered.
  3. Select from the drop down list the number of times an Alert notification must be sent.

 

Filters

 

  1. If the Alert is to be restricted to selected Locations, then select those Locations. By default all Locations will be selected.

 

Send Alert to

 

  1. Enter either the Email address or Mobile phone number to which the Alert notification will be sent.

 

Special Settings

 

  • Settings - Select to open the Special Settings screen depending on the Event selected and configure the settings required:
     
    • Member Classifications
       
      • Classification - Select from the drop down list the Member Classification required. Once selected any activity (Member Card swipe, Member Sale, etc) recorded will potentially trigger an Alert. 

 

    • RSA

 

      • Classification - Select from the drop down list the Member Classification required. Once selected the RSA Alert will only be applied to Members assigned to the selected Classification.
      • Family - Select from the drop down list the Family of Products required. Once selected, any Product sold that is included in the selected Family will be added to the Qty Allowed count kept for each Member.
      • Qty Allowed - Select/Enter the maximum number of Products that can be sold within the Minutes set.
      • Every X Minutes - Select/Enter the time period in minutes in which the maximum number of Products sold to a Member is allowed. If Qty sold exceeds the Qty Allowed within the time period set, then an Alert will be triggered.

 

    • High Sales

 

      • Family - Select from the drop down list the Family of Products required. Once selected, any Product sold that is included in the selected Family will be added to the Qty Allowed count kept for each Member.
      • Based On - Select either Qty or Net Sales, to determine which will be used as the criteria for triggering the Alert.
      • Threshold - Select/Enter either the Qty/Value of Products sold, that needs to be reached or exceeded within the Every X Minutes time period set.

 

Footer

 

  • New - Select to open the Alert screen to add a new Alert.
  • Save - Select to save changes.
  • Undo - Select to undo changes made.
  • Close - Select to exit.
