Birthday Voucher

 

The following is a setup example of a Voucher issued to Customer/Members on their birthday.

 

The Scenario

 

When Members are entered or swiped in Touch on the day of their birthday, they are issued a Voucher which entitles them to a free coffee.

 

The Setup Required

 

  1. Ensure the Record Birthdays By setting has been set in Global Preferences.
  2. In Touch, ensure the Customer settings are set as required. Set Birthday Voucher Validity setting and/or also set the Popup Vouchers When Customer Is Added to Sale setting if required.
  3. Create a Voucher Layout for the Voucher that the customer is required to present at the checkout.

 

Note : If a the Voucher has a Barcode, make sure a Barcode scanner has been setup in Touch to enable the scanning of the Voucher on redemption.

 

  1. Create the Voucher Action to be taken at the time the Voucher is redeemed.

 

  1. Create Voucher Parameters to control the issuing and redemption of the above Voucher.

 

Note : The Message will be displayed to the Clerk/Staff Member in Touch.


  1. Assign the action to the Voucher.


Notes

 

  1. The Voucher can be used only once and can only be redeemed by the Customer/Member to whom it was issued.
