Description
This menu item is used to detach a Database from the SQL Server. This feature is normally only used to remove a database that is no longer in use.
To Be Considered
- The preferred option is to use the Backup and Restore features when moving Databases to a different PC.
Detach Database
This screen displays a list of the SQL Databases that are currently attached to the local SQL Server. Only when a Database has been detached can it be zipped.
- Detach Now - Select a Database from those displayed and then select the Detach Now button.
- Close - Select to exit.
