Issue a Poor Customer Service Voucher

 

The following is an example of the use of issuing a Voucher to compensate for poor customer service after receiving a customer complaint.

 


The Scenario

 

A customer complains after experiencing poor customer service. In a gesture to appease the customer a Gift Card/Voucher is issued. The Gift Card/Voucher can be for :

 

  1. A FREE main meal/Product Voucher.
  2. A discount Voucher. Receive 10% discount on your next purchase.
  3. Award member points.
  4. etc.

 

The example described below is for a FREE main meal Gift Voucher.

 


The Setup Required

 

  1. The Voucher issued will be in printed form with a Barcode. Ensure a Barcode scanner has been setup in Touch to enable the scanning of the Barcode on redemption of the Gift Voucher.
  2. At a minimum ensure the following POS Key is available in Touch:

    1. Issue Voucher POS Key
       
  3. Create a Voucher Layout for the Gift Voucher that the customer is required to present at the checkout.
     


  1. Create a Voucher Action to be taken at the time the Voucher is redeemed.
     


  1. Create Voucher Parameters to control the issuing and redemption of the Gift Voucher.
     

 

Note : If using printed Gift Vouchers check the Reprint Stored Value Voucher check box.


  1. Assign the action created above.
     

 


Operation

 

  1. in Touch issue a Gift Voucher as follows:

    1. Ensure the Barcode scanner has been setup in Touch.
    2. Select the Issue Voucher key.
    3. From the Vouchers listed select the Gift Voucher created above. A receipt and printed Gift Voucher will be printed.
       
  2. in Touch scan the presented Gift Voucher as follows:

    1. Scan the Gift Voucher using the Barcode scanner. A selection of main meals will be displayed.
    2. Get the customer to make a choice. Select their choice. The sales grid will depict the meal and Voucher credit.


 

    1. Finalise the sale.
