Present Voucher and receive 24 pack Crown Lager for $35

 

The following is a setup example of a Discount and a Voucher for a limited special offer to customers that present a newspaper Voucher.

 


The Scenario

 

When customers presents a Voucher they will be able to purchase a 24 pack of Crown Lager for $35.

 


The Setup Required

 

  1. Create a discount to enable the discount of $4 off the retail price of $39.
     


  1. Create a Voucher Layout for the Voucher that the customer is required to present at the checkout.
     

 

Note : If the Voucher has a Barcode, make sure a Barcode scanner has been setup at the SwiftPOS Touch terminal to enable the scanning of the Voucher on redemption.

 

  1. Create Voucher Parameters to control the issuing and redemption of the above Voucher
     

 

Note : The Issue Type above is set to disabled, as the printing of the Voucher will be triggered manually (see Operation below) and then printed in local newspapers.


  1. Assign the discount created above as an action to the Voucher.
     

 


Operation

 

  1. The Voucher will need to be issued. This can be done as follows:

  1. Click the Issue button at the bottom of the Voucher Edit screen.
     

 

Note : Check the Save Voucher Image checkbox. This will ensure a jpg/png file is created in the folder selected.

 

  1. When the Browse For Folder dialog appears select/make a folder to save the Voucher image in
  2. The Voucher will be issued when the following message appears:
     

 

  1. The Voucher issued should now be listed in the Voucher Ledger.
  2. A sample of the saved Voucher (jpg/png file) appears below.

 

  1. The issued Voucher can be used multiple times and can be redeemed by anyone who presents it at the checkout.
  2. To redeem the Voucher - When the customer purchases a 24 pk of Crown Lager and presents the Voucher, at the SwiftPOS Touch terminal make the sale and scan the Voucher. The $4 discount will be applied bringing the sale price to $35.
