The following is a setup example of a Member Campaign designed to assist in the limiting of drinks sold to Customers/Members based on the Standard Drink value of Products sold and the selected Reset in EOD Every option selected.
The Scenario
When a Customer/Member purchases an alcoholic beverage, a check is carried out based on the beverage's Standard Drink value and the Standard Limit set to determine whether the Limit has been exceeded. If exceeded, the Clerk/Staff Member will be notified and the beverage will be removed from the sale.
The Setup Required
- Ensure the Standard Drink value is set for all alcoholic beverages available for purchase.
- Optionally configure a Receipt Message to be displayed in the Sales grid and on the Receipt. Use of the variables below to compose the Message:

- Send a Full Update to the SwiftPOS Touch Terminals.
Operation
- At the SwiftPOS Touch Terminal, add/swipe the Customer/Member to a sale.
- Add the items the Customer/Member is ordering.
- If an Item is added that causes the Standard Limit to be exceeded, the Message will be displayed and the item removed from the sale.
- If a Receipt Message has been configured, then as each Product (in the Product Family configured in the Campaign) is added to the sale, the Receipt Message will be displayed. For example:
