Training Mode Operation

Touch > Tools > Basic Tools > Training Mode On/Off

Description

This menu item enables the Touch POS device to be used for Training purposes. When in Training mode the following applies:

  1. All sales including Table/TAB sales are NOT sent to Back Office and does not affect live data.
  2. Member redemptions, Customer charges/payments and selling raffle tickets are not allowed in training mode because these interact with Back Office.
  3. All printing will show Training Mode on top of the printouts.
  4. The sales grid appears yellow (see example below).

To Be Considered

  1. Access to the Training Mode On/Off option is managed by Clerk Security and Connect/Touch Security settings.
  2. Touch POS Device IDs 999901-999999 are locked to Training Mode. That means, any Touch POS device having an ID in this range will not affect sales. These Touch POS Device IDs 999901-999999 are set up in Back Office and are not included in the count of registered Touch POS devices.

The screen show below shows some training Touch POS devices are configured in Back Office. Any Device IDs within the range of 999901 and 999999 (reserved for training Touch POS devices) are not part of the registration Touch POS devices count. For each Back Office PC-User, you can also have one Touch POS device licence for Back Office's Basic Invoicing feature.

This registration is for 1 Touch POS device. This registration shows the 3 training devices online but that are not part of the registration.
