Description

 

This menu item is used to configure the default Touch Terminal settings specific to Locations. 

 

To Be Considered

 

  1. Note : Any changes made to Locations will require the Sales Processing Service to be restarted to ensure the changes are picked up.
  2. Ensure the Location Group (Venues) have been setup prior to creating Locations. This will ensure Locations can be assigned to their specific Location Group (Venue).
  3. To facilitate Inventory Transfers, etc at the SwiftPOS Touch terminals, create a PLU/Product to represent each Location. This is then assigned to the Locations here.

Grid

 

  • The grid displays the: Location # and Name, and whether Default Touch Settings are in use (checkbox selected) for the following: About, Clerks, Customers, Floor Plans, Misc Hardware, Price Levels, Reports, Sales Screen, Tenders and Terminal. Note : To edit an entry in the grid double click a checkbox.

 

Footer

 

  • Edit - Select to open the Modify Terminal Settings screen below, and configure the default settings for the selected Location.
  • Close - Select to exit.

 


Modify Terminal Settings

 

 

This screen is accessed from here. This screen is used to configure the default SwiftPOS Touch terminal settings specific to the selected Location. Settings can be configured for each of the menu items on the left hand side of the screen. Once configured make sure the Use Location Settings option is selected to ensure that the settings are sent to the SwiftPOS Touch terminals with the next Full Update. Once selected the settings configured here will override the settings at the SwiftPOS Touch terminal.

  • About - The following options CANNOT be configured/selected from the Back Office:

  • Terminal Tab - The following options CANNOT be configured/selected from the Back Office:
     



Note : The buttons/options that appear disable CANNOT be configured/selected from the Back Office.

 

  • Location - Select to display the Location settings:

 



  • CFD Video File - Displays/Enter the path and file name of the Video file to be played via the Customer Facing Display. Once configured make sure a Full Update is sent to all SwiftPOS Touch terminals. Also, ensure the variable {locationvideo} is entered into the Video File/URL setting and the Set Default button selected, to ensure that the Video file configured here is used.
  • Use Back Office Table Tracking Connection - Select to ensure the Table Tracking database connection configured here will be used.

 

Footer

 

  • Copy - Select to open the Search Locations screen to select one or more Locations to which all settings from the current Location will be copied to. Note : only those Menus, that have the Use Location Settings option selected will take affect in the copied to Location.
  • Save - Select to save any changes and exit.
  • Cancel - Select to exit without saving.
