The following is a setup example of a Voucher used to sell Drink Cards to Customers.
The Scenario
A customer buys a Drinks Card that entitles them to a maximum number of free drinks at the bar over multiple visits. For example, a customer buys a Drinks Card to the value of $30, which entitles them to 15 pots of beer.
The Setup Required
- Create a Family "Pot Beer Promo" and assign all Pots of Beer Products to it.
- Create a Product to sell the Drinks Card.
- Create a Voucher Action to be taken at the time the Voucher is redeemed.
Note : This will only work for a free Product Voucher action with a qty of 1. It is not designed to work any other way. |
- Create Voucher Parameters to control the redemption of the above Voucher. The Voucher will be issued from the SwiftPOS Touch terminal.

- Assign the action to the Voucher.
- Create the Multi Link (Macro) POS Key on the appropriate Layout using the Keyboard Designer.Give the POS Key created a caption like "Drinks Card". Ensure the following Multi Link Events are added to the Multi Link (Macro) POS Key:

Operation
- Selling a Drink Card

- Redeem the Drinks Card
- At the SwiftPOS Touch terminal, swipe the Drinks Card issued previously issued or select the Voucher Entry POS Key and enter the Voucher Mapping text.
- Sell the quantity of beer ordered.
- Finalise the sale.
- Return the Drinks Card to the Customer if not used up.
