Enable / Disable KVS/Kitchen Printer Operation

Touch > Enable / Disable Printers (#82) POS Key.

Description

Used to manage the KVS/kitchen printers connected to Touch.

To Be Considered

If required, restricting access to this POS Key can be managed by Clerk Security.

Pre-Requisites

Ensure the Function Enable / Disable Printers POS Key is added to the appropriate Layout using the Keyboard Designer.

Operation

To manage printers in Touch

Select the Enable / Disable Printers POS Key to open the Enable / Disable Printers and KVS screen.

This screen is accessed from here and displays all the printers and KVSs currently connected to Touch. For printers, toggle select the Disabled checkbox, to enable/disable the required printer. For KVS, toggle select the Send to KVS True/False button to enable/disable the required KVS.

Grid

Type - Displays the types of connected printers.
Description - Displays the description of connected printers.
Printer Device - Select from the drop-down list the required print device to which all printing will be directed.
Disabled - Select to disable. Unselect to enable.

Footer

Edit Categories - Select to open the Printer Categories screen to select the Category of Products that when sold will trigger the selected printer to print a docket. Note : The Categories button will only be displayed when either a Kitchen or Order printer is selected.
Ok - Select to save any changes and exit.
Cancel - Select to exit without saving.
