Honeywell PDT Operation (Stocktake)

To Be Considered

  • Running on Android
  • Connect via wireless from anywhere to seamlessly update the Stocktake App with the most up-to-date product/barcode file just with the touch of a button.
  • Stocktakes, transfers and Purchase Orders can all be completed outside of wireless access for customers with external warehouse storage or remote locations. (batch mode operation)
  • Sending stocktakes, transfers and purchase orders to the back office are all managed from the App for transparent operation.
  • Product descriptions are displayed on the screen when you scan a product. New barcodes that are not on file are quickly identified so you know what they are, and can add the new barcodes to existing products in the Back Office.
  • You can have multiple devices committing stocktake counts at the same time for the same location with reporting to track individual clerk counts as well as track by the reference entered.
  • No need to worry about losing your stock counts as you can always export the Stocktake onto the local device if your wireless network is not working.
  • Stocktake by scanning Barcodes or QR Codes. All items scanned are consolidated and converted back to their base stock keeping unit once submitted. E.g.: Cartons to bottles etc.
  • Speed up the Stocktake process by only having to press {Scan} then quantity. No searching through pages of information looking for the Product.
  • New Barcodes are quickly identified as not being on file so you can automatically add them to the SwiftPOS Back Office for existing Products.
  • The device will never need to be connected via a cable to the computer once the app is installed because it has integrated wireless for getting updates and sending data.
  • The time saved in doing accurate Stocktakes easily justifies the investment.
  • Hardware
  • Rugged Android hardware terminal with integrated long range barcode scanner, a large easy-to-read 4” screen and tactile numeric keyboard for single handed operation leaving the other hand free to pick up products to scan.
  • Designed to withstand a 1.2 metre drop to concrete with a replaceable battery that has 12+ hours of operation on a single charge. Batteries can be changed without any loss of important data that has already been entered.
  • Auto power off feature when not in use to conserve batteries. The Honeywell devices run an industrial version of Android so no need for constant software updates like android phones.

  1. You will also need to configure the API URL Address.

Select the 3 vertical dots.

Select Settings.

Enter the correct API URL Address and select the back arrow to save the URL.
