Description
SwiftPOS OrderAway offers patrons a seamless web-based platform for in-Venue & remote ordering. Simple to implement the OrderAway platform aims to ultimately elevate patron experience and promote sales with fast and convenient ordering.
OrderAway can be configured to suit several different uses based on customer requirements.
- Order at Table - generally initiated by the patron scanning a QR Code on their smartphone which directs them to the Venue's URL (e.g. The Bistro) and possibly the Location (outlet) within the same Venue (for example: Table 12, EGM 101, Golf Bay 7, Section A – Seat 12, etc.).
- Remote Ordering for Pickup - generally initiated by a Venue communication (for example, an email) to a patron, which contains an an embedded URL. This URL provides patrons the option to remotely order and can also be configured to allow a pickup time to be specified.
- Remote Ordering for Home Delivery - generally initiated by a Venue communication (for example, an email) to a patron, which contains an an embedded URL. This URL provides patrons the option to remotely order and can also be configured to facilitate Home Delivery. this is achieved by prompting the patron for contact and address details. Limitations can be configured to only permit orders from selected postcodes or from within in a predetermined delivery radius from the Venue.
Note : Pickup and/or Home Delivery can be configured alongside Order at Table for the same Venue in the OrderAway system, provided that Order at Table Location URL suffixes are being used.
To Be Considered
- The OrderAway platform must be connected to a SwiftPOS Touch Terminal and Location within the Venue for all orders to be processed.
- Payment considerations:
- OrderAway currently only supports one media when finalising a sale. Split payments are NOT supported.
- To pay for a sale using Member Points, the Customer/Member must have sufficient points to cover the entirety of the sale.
- Currently SwiftPOS and Windcave support the following approved currencies:
- AUD - Australian Dollar
- NZD - New Zealand Dollar
- Redemption Ratios - By default, OrderAway will use the Web Redemption Ratio. However, if it is set to zero, then the Classification's Redemption Ratio value set, will be used instead. However, if the Redemption Ratios feature has been used to configure Location based Redemption Ratios, then these will be used instead of the Classification's Redemption Ratio. This means that a sites needing to make use of Location based Redemption Ratios for OrderAway, can now set the Web Redemption Ratio to zero and make use of the Classification's Redemption Ratios feature available.
