Option 1 - Fors 7" or larger. For example, IPADs, IPAD Minis, SAMSUNG Tablets, Windows Surface Pro, etc.

SwiftPOS Command Line options for Terminal Sessions:

  1. For example: Drag the C:\SwiftPOSTouch\SwiftPOS.Touch.exe file to the desktop to create a shortcut icon and add one of the following command line options:

    1. C:\SwiftPOSTouch\SwiftPOS.Touch.exe /TS:iPad1
    2. C:\SwiftPOSTouch\SwiftPOS.Touch.exe /TS:BAR - To create a custom Terminal session of your POS.
    3. C:\SwiftPOSTouch\SwiftPOS.Touch.exe /TS:RESTAURANT - To create a custom Terminal session of your POS.
    4. C:\SwiftPOSTouch\SwiftPOS.Touch.exe /TS:CAFE - To create a custom Terminal session of your POS.

  1. Launch the shortcut icon and a new folder (iPad1, BAR, etc) will be created for the database file (.sdf), settings, etc. All other settings remain the same as SwiftPOS Touch running on a normal POS Terminal.
  2. For other command line options click here.

Option 2 - For less than 7". For example, IPODs, IPHONEs, Widefly PDAs, etc.

Note : New features are not being added to this option as option 1 has become the most popular solution. This layout has limited features so please ensure that you have checked the feature requirements before using this layout. The preferred format is an iPAD Mini or other 7" tablets running option 1 above. There is no documented list of features for this layout but you can see what is available in the menus to realise that the functionality is limited. Features like table splitting are simply not available because the screen is too small. The screen is not large enough to include the same functionality as an iPAD or larger Tablet format.

SwiftPOS Mobile Installation:

  1. This set up uses a much smaller screen than a typical SwiftPOS Touch terminal so all the configuration screens below have been customised to fit on a small display.
  2. C:\SwiftPOSTouch\SwiftPOS.Mobile.EXE - No command line options required.

Hardware and Operating System Requirements (Client Side)

  1. Currently Windows CE Version 5, Apple iPod Touch.

Hardware and Operating System Requirements (Server Side)

  1. Current Windows software.
  2. Microsoft Windows Terminal Software. Each copy of SwiftPOS Mobile uses a SwiftPOS Terminal Licence.
  3. Installed under C:\SwiftPOSTouch\<PC Name>\<User Name>\SwiftPOS Mobile Terminal.
