Web Apps Overview

To Be Considered

  1. Mobile versions - Available for all the Web Apps except for Web Reports. These each have a unique URL consisting of the IP address and port of the Web Server, the Web Application name, the type of Web App, and the Location from the web store setup (only for Web Store & Members Portal).  This will ensure you can go to the correct Web App.  If you leave off the Location, you will be taken to the default Locations selected in the Web store setup.
  2. Guest Orders - You could use a Guest Member eg member 1 Password 1 to make orders, the delivery address doesn't get saved at this point (but may in the future). Quick note if you are using points you don't want this member getting points for each purchase and being able to use them so you need to put them in a different classification and have the points accrual set to 0.
  3. Web API - We have also developed an API interface to SwiftPOS. Documentation and pricing is available from SwiftPOS on request. A Non Disclosure Agreement (NDA) will be required to be signed by the third party.

Features

The SwiftPOS Web Applications are designed as a simple add-on to SwiftPOS. There is no need to engage the services of a Web Developer to integrate the SwiftPOS database with the Web front end.

  • The Web Applications connect directly the SwiftPOS Back Office Database. There is no data syncing like external web applications.
  • The software runs using Abyss, IIS or any other Web Server that supports ASP.NET.
  • Support for all major smart TV, desktop and mobile browsers.  There is no need for separate Apple, Android, Microsoft Phone apps to install or maintain.
  • Built in automatic device detection allowing users on desktop computers, tablets and/or Smart Phones to effortlessly view pages regardless of the device they are using.
  • A Web Store application that is integrated the SwiftPOS database. Families that are enabled for the web will be available for sale in the Web Store.
  • The Web Store will accept payment by http://www.eway.com.au/ or http://www.paypal.com.au/.
  • Products assigned to Families that have been Web enabled are immediately available for sale via the Web Store app.
  • A Members Portal which allows Customers/Members to login and update their personal details, view any unused Vouchers and view their transaction history.
  • A web reporting module which allows clerks to login and run reports for their store.
  • Multiple Web Store apps and Members Portals can be run using a single SwiftPOS Back Office database.
  • Customers/Members can top up their SwiftPOS Back Office Account. Ideal for school Tuckshops where kids can run an account in the school canteen.
  • Orders can be paid for using loyalty points, credit card via EWAY or PayPal.
  • Products in the Web Store can be configured using Category settings, to prompt for cooking instructions, sauces, side dishes and other options.
  • Web Store orders arrive at the POS as Location based Web/Phone orders.  This feature can be configured to force users to pay when ordering, pay when picking up or allow the user to choose when to pay.
  • Web Store orders allow the selection of either Pickup/Takeaway order types and the specification of a desired Pickup/Delivery date/time.
  • Google Maps is already supported for home deliveries in SwiftPOS.
  • SwiftPOS Web Applications can be themed using http://demos.kendoui.com/themebuilder/web.html for the desktop, and http://jquerymobile.com/themeroller/index.php for mobiles. Apps can have a different themes, share the same theme or a combination of both.
  • Product images are retrieved from the SwiftPOS Back Office database and displayed in the Web Store. The native resolution of images is 250px by 250px and supports animated GIFs when imported into the SwiftPOS Back Office at this resolution. If you import GIF files in a higher resolution, you will lose the animation as they will be resized to 250px.
