Product Price and Notes Information Operation

 

Touch > Price Enquiry (#536), Show PLU Notes (#535) and Edit Product Notes (#510) POS Keys

 

Description

 

These features are used to query the prices and/or view the Notes for a selected Product.

 

To Be Considered

 

  1. If required, restricting access to these POS Keys can be managed by Clerk Security.

 

Pre-Requisites

 

  1. Ensure the Function Price Enquiry, Show PLU Notes and Edit Product Notes POS Keys are added to the appropriate Layout using the Keyboard Designer.

 

Operation

 

  1. To Query a Price of a Product


  1. At the SwiftPOS Touch terminal, select the Price Enquiry POS Key twice.
  2. The Products search screen will be displayed.
  3. Enter a full/partial description of the Product. For example, enter Beer to enter all Products with text Beer in their description.
  4. Select the Product for which the price is being queried.
  5. The Product Price Information screen will be displayed.
  6. Select either the Print, Add to Sale or Close button.

OR


  1. At the SwiftPOS Touch terminal, select the Price Enquiry POS Key twice.
  2. The Products search screen will be displayed.
  3. Scan the Barcode of the Product.
  4. The Product will be displayed. Select it.
  5. The Product Price Information screen will be displayed.
  6. Select either the Print, Add to Sale or Close button

OR


  1. At the SwiftPOS Touch terminal, with a items in the sales grid.
  2. Select one of the items in the sales grid and then select the Price Enquiry POS Key.
  3. The Product Price Information screen will be displayed for selected item.
  4. Select either the Print, Add to Sale or Close button.


  1. To View the Notes of a Product


  1. At the SwiftPOS Touch terminal, select the Show PLU Notes POS Key twice.
  2. The Products search screen will be displayed.
  3. Enter a full/partial description of the Product. For example, enter Beer to enter all Products with text Beer in their description.
  4. Select the Product for which the price is being queried.
  5. The Product Price Information screen will be displayed.
  6. Select either the Print, Add to Sale or Close button.

  2. The Products search screen will be displayed.

  3. The Product Price Information screen will be displayed for selected item.
  4. Select either the Print, Add to Sale or Close button.

 

  1. To Edit the Notes of a Product


  1. At the SwiftPOS Touch terminal, select the Edit Product Notes POS Key.
  2. The Products search screen will be displayed.
  3. Search for and select the Product for which the Notes need to be changed.
  4. The Product Notes Edit screen will be displayed for selected Product.
  5. Enter/Change the Notes for the selected Product.
  6. Select OK to save changes. The following message will be displayed:
     

 

Product Price Information

 

 

This screen is accessed from here.

 

This screen displays the different prices for the selected Product.

 

  • Page Up - Select to move up one page. Only enabled if multiple pages of prices exist.
     
  • Page Down - Select to move down one page. Only enabled if multiple pages of prices exist.
     
  • Print - Select to print the Product price information. This will print at the Receipt printer.
     
  • Print Label - Select to print the Product Label. This will print on the Label Printer.
     
  • Add to Sale - Select to add the item to the current sale.
     
  • Close - Select to exit.

 

Product Notes Information

 

 

This screen is accessed from here.

 

This screen displays the Notes / Allergens and Nutritional information for the selected Product.

 

  • Page Up - Select to move up one page. Only enabled if multiple pages of Notes exist.
     
  • Page Down - Select to move down one page. Only enabled if multiple pages of Notes exist.
     
  • Print - Select to print the Product Notes information. This will print at the Receipt printer.
     
  • Print Label - Select to print the Product Label. This will print on the Label Printer.
     
  • Add to Sale - Select to add the item to the current sale.
     
  • Close - Select to exit.

 

Product Notes Edit

This screen allows Clerks/Staff Members to enter/change the Notes relating to the currently selected Product.

 

  • Notes - Displays/Enter the Notes for the selected Product. Select the Keyboard button to display the Enter Notes keyboard screen. Note : At SwiftPOS Touch the number of characters that can be entered as Notes is limited to 4000. If more than that is required, then this will need to be done in the SwiftPOS Back Office here.
     
  • OK - Select to save any changes and exit.
     
  • Close - Select to exit.
