Third Party Pocket Vouchers Operation

Description

Pocket Vouchers is a third party mobile marketing platform which enables mobile phone Vouchers to be verified in real-time at the retail outlet to drive product trial, foot-traffic and sales. It is normally funded by product Suppliers and tracked by Pocket Vouchers. SwiftPOS Vouchers are the preferred method.

Pre-Requisites

Ensure the Pocket Voucher POS Key is added to the appropriate Layout using the Keyboard Designer.
To scan Pocket Vouchers, ensure a Barcode Scanner exists in the list of Peripherals, with the appropriate Card Masking.
Configure the additional settings for the Pocket Voucher POS Key in the SwiftPOS Back Office.

Operation

At the SwiftPOS Touch terminal, select the Pocket Voucher POS Key.
At the Enter your Pocket Voucher Code prompt enter the Pocket Voucher Code. Below is an example thereof:

Once entered SwiftPOS Touch will verify the code with the Pocket Vouchers web service to ensure the Pocket Voucher is valid and retrieve what action is to be taken.
The payment of the sale item will be accepted by Pocket Voucher and any remaining payments will be left on the screen for further finalisation.

Pocket Vouchers Settings screen

Merchant ID, Password, Service URL & Terminal ID - Enter the settings as supplied by the provider. The service URL is https://services.host.pocketvouchers.com/Redemption.svc
Assigned Media - Select to open the Finalise screen to select the required Media Type.
Always Print Receipt - Select to enable and set the number of copies to be printed.
Print Signature Line on first copy - Select to print a signature line on the first printed copy of the receipt.
Open cash drawer - Select to enable.
