Description

This menu item is used to create/maintain SwiftPOS Touch Peripherals (such as Printers). This will ensure that their settings are consistent across those SwiftPOS Touch terminals that are synced to the SwiftPOS Back Office. where This option is recommended for sites that operate more than one SwiftPOS Touch terminal. For sites that only operate one SwiftPOS Touch terminal, it is recommended that SwiftPOS Touch Peripherals are setup at the SwiftPOS Touch terminal directly. This can be done here.

Search Filters

• The filters at the top of the screen can be used to limit the number of rows displayed in the grid. The filters include the following types:
  
  
• Full/Partial Texts- The filter fields of this type are: Description.
• Drop Down Lists- The filter fields of this type are: Peripheral Type.
• Search Screens - The filter fields of this type are: Locations.
• Top # Filter

• Apply
• Reset

Grid

The grid displays the: Type, Description, Graphical and the Locations they are assigned to. The Graphical check box displays the peripherals that are configured in Graphical mode. Select the Locations button to open the Locations screen to select the Locations the SwiftPOS Touch Peripheral will be assigned to. Note : To edit an entry in the grid, double click a row. Rows displayed in the grid can be sorted by toggle selecting the column headings.

• Add - Select to add a SwiftPOS Touch Peripheral. For more information ...
• Copy - Select to copy the selected Peripheral.
• Edit - Select to edit the selected row.
• Save - Select to save changes.
• Import - Select to import previously exported SwiftPOS Touch Peripherals.
• Export All - Select to export all SwiftPOS Touch Peripherals and additional setting to an xml file.
• Delete - Select to delete the selected SwiftPOS Touch Peripheral.
• Printer Commands - Select to set up all the Esc/POS Printer Commands in the SwiftPOS Back Office. These will automatically be sent to each SwiftPOS Touch terminal. The set up menu is identical as the Printer Commands Menu in SwiftPOS Touch.
• Close - Select to exit.

Add New Peripheral

• Peripheral Type - Select from the drop down list one of the following:
  
  
• Barrel Promotion Printer - Used for Members Barrel Draw
• Entry Printer
• Floor Printer - Graphical Printers only
• Kitchen Printer - Graphical and Standard (ESC/POS) Kitchen Printers supported.
• Order Printer - Graphical Printers only
• Receipt Printer - Graphical Printers only

• Description - Enter an appropriate description here.

Note : Graphical printing is required if printing in languages other than English.

Operation

To add a new SwiftPOS Touch Peripheral do as follows:

1. From the Peripherals screen select the Add button.
2. Select from the drop down list of Peripheral Types, the appropriate type.
3. Enter the description.
4. Select OK to create the SwiftPOS Touch Peripheral.
