Description

 

This menu item is used to configure the access to SwiftPOS Touch functions for Clerk/Staff Groups. Security can also be configured for individual POS Keys here.

 

To Be Considered

 

1. When setting up Security for Order Kiosks, ensure all the Security areas have been disabled to ensure Customer/Members do not have unauthorised access to SwiftPOS features/functions.
2. To ensure changes to Security are activated at SwiftPOS Touch terminals, make sure a Full Update is sent to all SwiftPOS Touch terminals.

Grid

 

The grid displays the: # and Clerk Group. Note : To edit an entry in the grid, double click a row. Rows displayed in the grid can be sorted by toggle selecting the column headings.

 

Footer

 

• Edit - Select to open the Clerk Security Items screen and edit the selected Clerk/Staff Group's Security. Refer to Clerk Security Items for more information.
• Close - Select to exit.

Clerk Security Items

 

For each Clerk/Staff Group the following Security Settings can be enabled/disabled:

Grid

 

Displays the Security areas within which Security Settings can be enabled/disabled.

 

• Miscellaneous - Select from the sub settings available to enable/disable individual settings.

 

1. Allow Logging Off of Other Clerks
2. Allow Logging On with Drawer Zero - Select to allow Clerks/Staff Members to login with Drawer zero. To restrict Drawer zero from being used, ensure this option is NOT selected.
3. Allow Clock In/Out
4. Assign New Clerk ID
5. Allow Num Pad OK button usage - To restrict the OK button from being used, ensure this option is NOT selected.
6. Change Table Credit Limit
7. Check for Updates
8. Connect to Server
9. Disconnect from Server
10. Don't allow opening Tables locked to a Clerk
11. Edit Customer Account Limits
12. Enrol Finger Print
13. Finalise ALL tables to CASH
14. Load Keyboard Changes
15. Override Bistro Cancel Sale Lockout - Select to allow the SwiftPOS Touch terminal Allow Cancel Sale Bistro setting to be overridden.
16. Override TAB Cancel Sale Lockout - Select to allow the SwiftPOS Touch terminal Allow Cancel Sale TABS setting to be overridden.
17. Override Table Cancel Sale Lockout - Select to allow the SwiftPOS Touch terminal Allow Cancel Sale_Table setting to be overridden.
18. Override Waiter Terminal Media Tender Lockout
19. Print ALL Table Guest Bills
20. Product Search and OK Button to stop staff from entering a PLU number and pressing OK.
21. Receipt On/Off
22. Request Full Update
23. Tools Menu
24. Unlock Terminal

• Basic Tools
• Change to Training Mode - Refers to the Training Mode On/Off option in the Basic Tools Menu
• Exit Program - Refers to the Exit Application option in the Basic Tools Menu

• Check All - Select to enable all Security Settings.
• Uncheck All - Select to disable all Security Settings.
